Classic SuperBlades™ Are the most cost-effective way to provide the density of SuperBlades with the high performance of a variety of processors - AMD Opteron ™ Intel Xeon™ and AMD Athlon™.

Compared to other rackmount or blade solutions, Classic SuperBlades™ are lower cost and provide greater flexibility. The Classic SuperBlades™ have one PCI/PCI-X slot that can support Myrinet, Infiniband or any other high speed fabric solution. In addition, The Classic SuperBlades support one 8X AGP slot, providing an ultra-dense workstation solution.

The Classic SuperBlades™ are hot-swappable and are provided their power through an internal connector. Their data is connected via 2 RJ45 connectors per SuperBlade™ to the front of the SuperBlade™ nest. The RJ45 connectors may carry either GigE or serial port data.
